The Daily Express is a British middle-market tabloid newspaper, the flagship title of all the Express newspapers which include The Sunday Express, The Daily Star and the Daily Star on Sunday. The newspaper was originally established in 1900 by Sir Arthur Pearson who, due to health problems, sold the company to Lord Beaverbrook in 1916. The Daily Express was the first British newspaper to feature articles on sports, gossip, women's articles, and the first to feature a crossword puzzle. The Daily Express currently sells around six hundred thousand copies each day.
