The Daily Mirror, also commonly know as The Mirror, is a British daily tabloid newspaper, published daily and originally established in the early 1900s. The Daily Mirror sells approximately one million copies each day, also operating its sister newspaper, The Sunday Mirror. Over the years, the paper has had a number of owners, originally owned by the Harmsworth family and merged with Trinity in 1999 to create Trinity Mirror. The Daily Mirror recently merged with its sister newspaper to form a seven daily printed newspaper and has won a number of awards including "Newspaper of the Year" in 2002 at the British Press Awards.
